Measurement

The research-project "Properties of Cranial-Measures of Primates" was started in 1981. At first taxonomical questions concerning the Orang-Utan were clarified (also, during the extensive bibliographical researches I was able to discover the correct Nomenclature of this species, according the International Rules of Zoological Nomenclature.)

During the following years the selection of the used measures changed as the means of research were altered. Thus there are differences in the tables as presented here. In consequence, I created the following sections:

  1. Research on a Population from Donaueschingen in 1985-86 (publication "Der Mann von Kunbabony 2001").
  2. Research on a Population from Kuenzing-Bruck in 1989-90. Later this case became connected with the 1993 research on some Ponginae populations (both publicised as "Vergleichend-morphologische Untersuchungen an Crania von Ponginae 1996").
  3. Research on Populations of diverse Primate-Species with a newly formed methodology since 1998 (publication "Über Eigenschaften von Cranial-Maßen bei Primates-Species. 2001").
  4. Research on Populations of diverse Primate-Species with a newly formed methodology since 1998 using a simpler form (publication "About the properties of cranial measurements taken from primate species, especially concerning metrical age- and gender-diagnosis. 2005" and later).

All these differences are, as far as the actual content is concerned, irrelevant; still it was found necessary to note them. For further reference, please refer to my subsequent publications.
